Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy Announces ‘Anchorman’ Sequel on ‘Conan’

Sporting one of his famous, eye-catching suits, Ron Burgundy disrupted Conan O’Brien’s TBS show tonight with a special announcement — and some talented flute playing. From broadcaster to broadcaster, San Diego’s finest Action 4 News anchor officially declared that the 2004 film, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, will receive a sequel.

“As of 0900 Mountain Time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman,” he affirmed on the show. “It is official! There will be a sequel to Anchorman.”

Burgundy also took the opportunity to create his Twitter account, @RonBurgundy, tweeting: “Hey America & Hawaii. Looks like Paramount & my lawyer Gene Tigerworthy have agreed to terms on a sequel to Anchorman. Whiskey sours on me!”
