‘SuperMoon’ To Appear This Weekend

The biggest full moon of the year, a “Supermoon,” is set to appear this Saturday, when it’s closest to Earth. It also happens to be when the Moon is full, making it a great event for sky gazers.

To view the Supermoon when it appears to be its biggest, watch the moon when it’s over the horizon next to objects on the ground, such as trees, when an optical illusion tricks the eye into thinking it’s much larger than when it’s in the sky.
