Man’s Video Prompts MTA To Fix NY Subway Station Stairs



Behold another fine example of the power of the Internet. Dean Peterson decided to make a video about a peculiar set of stairs at the 36 Street subway station in New York City, posting it online on Wednesday. The Brooklyn man noticed that one of the steps was just a fraction of inch shorter than the others, leading people to constantly trip or fall while climbing it.

His video, viewed more than 300,000 times in 12 hours, made the MTA take notice. So the next time you find a set of stairs that’s a little funky (and that thousands of people use daily), make a video. You might just make a difference.
