Jerry Seinfeld Launches His Own Comedy Web Series (VIDEO)

Jerry Seinfeld of Seinfeld fame is joining the world of online entertainment with his new comedy web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, hosted by Crackle.

The title pretty much tells it like it is. The series documents Seinfeld bringing his comedian friends to get coffee in an array of his many vintage cars. Comedian guests are set to include Ricky Gervais, Alec Baldwin, Colin Quinn, and Seinfeld colleagues Larry David and Michael Richards.

With his foray into the online talk-show world, Seinfeld joins the likes of Zach Galifianakis with his Funny Or Die-hosted Between Two Ferns and Diablo Cody with her L Studio-hosted Red Band Trailer.

The comedian has yet to acknowledge the news on his @JerrySeinfeld Twitter account, but it’s impressive enough that he signed up for the service last summer. Considering he has more than successfully mastered the domain of traditional media, it’s exciting to see Seinfeld take the leap onto newer platforms.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee premieres Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 9 PM EST.
