Lana Del Rey Covers Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box” (VIDEO)

Lana Del Rey did her best to channel Kurt Cobain on Thursday after the singer covered the late Nirvana frontman’s “Heart-Shaped Box” while performing in Sydney, Australia. A video surfaced on YouTube of Del Rey’s performance; she doesn’t stray too far from the original, using her haunting and sultry voice to express the heartache of the song with her unique delivery. Her own touch is especially evident in the chorus, which she wails through like a helpless harpy. The video doesn’t show the complete performance, but shows enough to get a sense of her performance.
