Lana Del Rey Releases ‘Summertime Sadness’ Music Video (WATCH)

Singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey has released her newest music video for the song, “Summertime Sadness,” off of her debut album, Born to Die.

The melodramatic tale follows Del Rey and Jamie King in a suicidal story through a sepia-filtered world. The film style is reflective of Del Rey’s slow, raspy tunes and reminiscent of her previous videos, such as “Born to Die” and “National Anthem.”

The video was directed by King’s husband, filmmaker Kyle Newman, and Spencer Susser.

This release follows the recent announcement that Del Rey would be the new face of H&M, with plans to record an exclusive cover of “Blue Velvet” for the retailer’s website.
