Robert Pattinson in Official ‘Cosmopolis’ Trailer (VIDEO)

Based on Don DeLillo’s novel of the same name, Cosmopolis is the newest film from director David Cronenberg, starring Robert Pattinson, Juliette Binoche, Jay Baruchel, Kevin Durand, and Emily Hampshire.

The story unfolds over one day, following 28-year old billionaire and financial whiz Eric Packer (Pattinson) on a trip through Manhattan. As he rides in his limo on the way to get a haircut, Packer struggles with wagering his company’s fortune on a bet against the Chinese, simultaneously thrust into a mess of apocalyptic events and intimate encounters, as his world spins out of control around him.

Cosmopolis premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival in competition for the Palme d’Or. It was released in Canada on June 8 and is scheduled for a limited release in the United States on August 17.
