Stephen Colbert introduced his new Fierce/Fab Five Colbert Report interns last night. First task: deliver a pen to the host while on air — and while doing backflips.

Olympic gold medal gymnasts Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross, and Jordyn Wieber having to mount all of that media pressure? Please. No sweat. Aly Raisman’s famously nervous mother even took her spot behind the desk, cheering the girls on with Colbert.

It’s just too bad McKayla Maroney was still not impressed.
