CDZA Street Performers Turn New York Street Names Into Music
The collectivecadenza (a.k.a. cdza) musicians’ latest street performance experiment offers an innovative musical tour of Lower Manhattan by turning street names into music.
In “City Streets, Famous Musicians,” Charles St. gets a Ray Charles tribute, Perry St. becomes the perfect place for a spontaneous “Firework” display, Beach St. evokes a classic Beach Boys hit, and much of the like.
Sam Reider (accordion), Eddie Barbash (saxophone), Mark Johnson (guitar), Allan Mednard (percussion), and some special guests span almost the entire spectrum of classic tunes from various genres, while providing a fast-paced glimpse at downton New York City.
