The Best Way for Chinese Cinema To Make a Super Mario Bros. Movie
Unfortunately, China’s productions studios have yet to truly take advantage of the Super Mario Bros. franchise. Fortunately, the DaysideTV YouTube channel is here to show us what it might look like if they ever do.
The synopsis is a no-brainer: “Bowser, the shroom drug lord, kidnaps the mayor’s daughter, Peach, to call off a drug investigation. The mayor calls Mario to seek revenge and rescue Peach.”
Featuring Mario, Luigi, Peach, and all of the classic characters from the games but with a multi-cultural twist, how could such an enterprise go wrong?
