A Fine Frenzy’s Alison Sudol Tells “The Story of Pines” For New TakePart TV YouTube Channel
In association with Participant Media, TakePart TV is “a new YouTube channel to help you change the world!” from some of the people behind An Inconvenient Truth, Food Inc., The Help, Contagion and Waiting for Superman.
Having just launched today, the channel is set to feature a selection of series, including “A Story of Pines,” “BFD: Brain Food Daily,” and Henry Rollins on Capitalism, along with a slew of shows that will cover a range of topics from environment and food to health and education.
Written by A Fine Frenzy frontwoman Alison Sudol, along with Musa Booker and Max Winston, “The Story of Pines,” above, is a sweet and visually engaging video that tells the story of Pine, a pine tree that has been left alone after her surrounding forest was decimated. With some help from an inquisitive bird, aptly named Bird, Pine is able to escape the detriments of her mountaintop habitat and embark on a magical journey in search of a new home.
Preorder the songs in the film from the “Pines” album on iTunes and text PINES to 77177 to plant your own tree and receive updates on environmental issues.
