The sick obsession of “Checking In” is stretched to an amusing extreme in the latest episode of MyDamnChannel‘s Status Kill, ”the satirical series that tackles all the things we love and loath in social media,” and also home to the world’s first social network action hero.
The Internet can forge a great deal of good, but it can also do a lot of damage, in the form embarrassing Facebook photos, friend requests from exes, and the like. Writer Jesse “Jeskid” Cowell doesn’t want his viewers to bring ridicule and possibly very real danger upon themselves by adhering to a strict “check-in” policy.
Or maybe he just wants them to laugh at this ridiculous guy. Either way, “No one cares where you are!”
