Vintage Arcade Commercial Featuring Original Fix-It Felix, Jr. Game

As an Internet-based marketing move for its new Wreck-It Ralph film, Disney Animation dug this gem out of the archives.

When this commercial aired in 1982, Litwak’s Arcade introduced the world to Fix-It Felix, Jr. as the 8-bit, state-of-the-art, “hottest arcade game in the world.”

Now, 30 years later, Walt Disney Animation Studios is producing a 3D film inspired by the game’s iconic antagonist and YouTube exists a source pool for funny 8-bit parodies and remakes. Surely, our tech-savvy successors will mock and remix our best efforts in the near future.

Featuring the voices of  John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Lynch, Wreck-It Ralph is set for a November 2 release.
