Paul McCartney Leads Nirvana Reunion & Top Moments From Sandy Relief Concert
Last evening, the world tuned into “12.12.12 The Concert for Sandy Relief” at Madison Square Garden in New York City, a star-studded event to benefit victims of October’s disastrous Hurricane Sandy.
The concert pulled in various demographics with its wide range of celebrity presenters and performers, including Jimmy Fallon, Billy Crystal, Jake Gyllenhaal, Quentin Tarantino, Kristen Stewart, Whoopi Goldberg, Jon Stewart and many more.
But, of course, it was the music that made the night. Before the networks removes these videos from YouTube, here are some of the evening’s highlights, which marked incredible moments not only for Sandy relief but also for music history.
Paul McCartney replaces the late Kurt Cobain in leading the Nirvana reunion.
Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi perform “Born to Run.” [The fuse YouTube channel has great recaps of the entire concert.]
Roger Waters and Eddie Vedder sing “Comfortably Numb.”
Adam Sandler parodies “Hallelujah” with his own version, “Sandy, Screw Ya!”
Oh, yeah. And Kanye West wore a skirt.
