  • The creators of “School of Thrones” are back with a fantasy web series where music is magic, princesses are ruthless and song battles mean war. Also, so many pretty princess costumes! What’s not to like?

Created by Zach Grafton and Matthew Mercer, “Muzzled the Musical” takes place in the kingdom of Serenadia, where song is the source of magic powers – but 30 years ago the Black Matron and her Blackheart army lost the Song Wars against the Golden King. Now the enslaved Blackhearts have to wear magic Muzzle tattoos that prevent them from singing.

As the king’s daughter Princess Ambrosia uses her singing powers to torment Blackhearts and throw endless parties at the castle, the Black Matron’s daughter Malfalia dreams of breaking her Muzzle and overthrowing the kingdom – but not before she gets to play princess herself.

The series is campy good fun – you’ll be humming the songs for days – and it stars a whole bunch of web series royalty, including Ashley Clements, Mary Kate Wiles and Maxwell Glick from “The Lizzie Bennet Diaries,” Joey Richter and Lauren Lopez from Team Starkid’s “A Very Potter Musical,” and Ashly Burch and Brendan Bradley returning from “School of Thrones.” It also features Jeff Lewis from Felicia Day’s “The Guild” and Juliet Landau from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”

Check out Season 1 – which ends on a cliffhanger, so you’ll have to support the inevitable crowdfunding campaign for Season 2 to find out what happens next. Sneaky.
