  • Last time we checked in with Daniel and Lincoln Markham, the guys behind the popular What’s Inside YouTube Channel, they were cutting open an Etch-A-Sketch. But now they’ve upped the ante — to the tune of a cool grand.

In the video above, Daniel Markham buys Kanye West’s Yeezy 350 sneakers in Turtle/Blue-Gray. The shoes retail for $200, but good luck getting them for that price. They’re currently going for over $1,000 on eBay and at least $1,710 on Amazon.

According to the video, Markham spent “a thousand stinkin’ dollars” on his pair of authentic Yeezys. And then he cut them open with a saw.

Don’t worry, though: they had a good life. In the video, he takes them to the X-Games, the Governor’s Ball, and to meet newly-minted prankster Casey Neistat. And all along the way, he seems to be endearingly unaware of what any of this means. I very much doubt this guy has ever intentionally listened to hip-hop. But good on him for being a good sport about the whole thing!

So, what is in Yeezys? Some mysterious soft fluffy stuff. If that’s worth the cost of a new super-high-end computer or a super-low-end beater car, Yeezys are the shoe for you.

What do you think? Was it worth finding out what’s inside Yeezys, or is this a waste of a perfectly good thousand dollars? Let us know in the comments below or @WhatsTrending on Twitter!
