What if People Took Their Political Facebook BS Into the Real World?

Not everything is literally Hitler, you guys.

  • At least 95% of people on Facebook are annoying as hell. YouTube creator Jason Horton showed us a few months ago what the worst general Facebook posts look like — the Vaguebook, the Humblebrag, and more — but this time he's poking his head into the absolute worst Facebook posts of all: the political kind.

Everyone has their own set of political opinions. Some people agree with me, and some people are wrong. JK, JK — whoever you are, you have a right to your beliefs. But that doesn't mean you should get into petty Facebook fights over every controversy that springs up. Ask yourself: would you yell about this stuff to someone in person? If the answer is no, maybe don't post it.

That's what this sketch is all about: people acting IRL like they do on Facebook. And Horton and co. totally nail it. From the bit where Horton can't talk about his mom without someone claiming that #AllMomsMatter, to the bit where his scene partner can't stop comparing everyone to Hitler, Horton perfectly captures one of the biggest frustrations we all have about living in the social media age. Somehow, he manages to do it without being offensive to either side.

What do you think? Would you scream your Facebook political beliefs at someone in real life? Let us know in the comments below or @WhatsTrending on Twitter!
