In an adorable video posted by twitter user Saeya8, a class surprised their teacher with a birthday party. A group of students in Burleson, Texas celebrated Mr. Simpler’s 56th birthday with a surprise party of streamers, gifts, balloons, a cake, and a group rendition of “Happy Birthday” as he walked in the classroom.
Just a few days before, Mr. Simpler told the English class that he couldn’t remember the last time he had a birthday cake. It’s clear that Mr. Simpler was surprised and deeply touched by the gesture, he even starts to tear up as he says “thank you.”
The class was also given a surprise as the video went viral and got over 40,000 retweets, was featured on the Twitter trending page, as well as covered by The Daily Mail, Fox News, and many others.

It’s great that these kids were kind enough to do this for their teacher and it’s awesome that something so heartwarming went viral.
