Jimmy and Anne Hathaway team up to perform rap hits like “Gin and Juice,” “In Da Club,” and “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” with a Broadway twist. Fallon is known for his great celebrity bits, but this one might have missed the mark.

In the comments of the YouTube video, people are complaining that the bit steals from a rapping lounge singer named Richard Cheese, who is known for a very similar gimmick.

Here’s one of Cheese’s rap songs turned lounge act staples, for comparison. Whatever the case, the Fallon-Hathaway idea was fun, but not original.

Maybe Fallon should have Cheese on his show to do his thing.
