Denver Nuggets Dance To “Shake It Off,” Give No Explanation

The NBA season starts today and the Denver Nuggets are celebrating by dancing, along with their cheerleaders and mascot, Rocky the Mountain Lion, to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.”

They’re calling it a “parody,” although there doesn’t appear to be anything ironic or satirical about this. The Denver Nuggets are simply, affectionately, dancing to Swift. When Kenneth Faried lip syncs “this. sick. beat.” we are in no way suspicious that he does not find the beat sick.

Now, if you’re looking for a real parody, and a video about 300 times as embarrassing, check out the masterpiece that was 2013’s “What Do The Mavs Say?”

The Nuggets may have saved themselves some embarrassment, but they surely won’t take Nowitzki’s place in YouTube legend.
