Local news anchors are those kids you knew in high school that were always making videos and couldn’t wait to show you their latest of driving around in their dad’s RAV4 listening to Nelly.
Now that they’re all grown up, they’re still making those videos, except now they have a couple hundred dollars to play around with.
The result is “Shave It Off,” a parody of some song about how the men of KUTV-2’s The Refresh are losing the beards but keeping the mustaches for Movember.
Believe it or not, this isn’t the first group to turn “Shake It Off” into “Shave It Off.” A “RAD Racing Team” did one about getting a competitive advantage while cycling, and it makes the KUTV parody look like a Renoir film.

Working at What’s Trending, I have the extreme pleasure of watching nearly every major pop music parody. I watched a few dozen for our parody compilation of “Anaconda.” That was a long day.
It is with this in mind that I can now announce What’s Trending upcoming parody of “Shake It Off.” It’s called “Knock It Off” and it’s very serious.
