What we all know is that the Patriots are incredibly good at not fumbling the football, and that 11 of the 12 balls they used during the AFC Championship Game were underinflated which, the theory goes, would help Tom Brady, his running backs, wide receivers and tight ends hold onto the ball just a little bit tighter.

What we don’t know is who deflated the footballs, and if the order to do so came from Tom Brady, coach Bill Belichick, or even higher.

Jimmy Kimmel believes that tens of thousands of Boston bros would be all too happy to fall on the sword and take the blame for the deflation. Many of those bros were unavailable, so he spoke to Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jon Krasinski, Steven Tyler (?!?), filmmaker Eli Roth, Dicky Barrett (Kimmel’s announcer and lead singer of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones), sportswriter Bill Simmons and Chris Evans, all of whom had a remarkably farfetched story of how and why they pulled off the deflation.
