Once again, Reddit is ahead of the curve when it comes to Internet comedy. The subreddit Unexpected Jihad is filled with carefully edited videos of a harmless or fictional explosion, with only one addition: someone off camera yelling the Muslim phrase “Allahu Akbar” (“God is great”).
Of course, that phrase is said by Muslims the world over every day, the vast majority of them not preempting a violent activity. (Let it be known that What’s Trending, its affiliates and subsidiaries, do not believe that the phrase “Allahu Akbar” or the religion of Islam as a whole is naturally violent. Extremists in every religion distort peaceful messages to justify violent actions.)
That being said, this is really funny.
