“Weird Al” Yankovic is a music legend. Dude has over a dozen classic comedy albums and, like, five hundred Grammy awards. So when his latest arrived (for 2014’s Best Comedy Album winner “Mandatory Fun”) Yankovic decided to have a little fun with it. What follows is a pitch-perfect spoof of YouTube unboxing videos.

For those unaware, unboxing videos exist across a broad spectrum of Internet culture. The newest iPhone? A collector’s edition video game? Those hot new designer heels? All of them have been covered by devoted fans, breathlessly narrating their experience opening a box.

“Now you can put it up on your mantle for all to enjoy,” Yankovic says at the end of the vidoe, “or just throw it in the pile with all of the other ones.”
