And now a reminder: no one is above the law. Think you can park your big wheel in a handicapped spot just because you're 3-years-old? Think again. A Canadian toddler named Declan got a harsh lesson in the justice system when a Halifax police officer wrote him a ticket for illegally stopping his toy motorcycle. Now little Declan will have a police record for the rest of his life.
Kidding! He thinks it's funny. Speaking with CTV News, Declan's mother Lisa says, "He loves his ticket... He tried to go to bed with his ticket."
The heroic police officer who stopped this dangerous joyrider just thought it would be funny. "It’s nice to show the different sides of police,” Constable Shawn Currie said. “We’re not always making arrests and hauling people away … we like to have fun.”
The picture of little Declan with his hand on his head has blown up online. Because it's stupid adorable. And also it's, like, exactly how everyone feels when a cop is writing a ticket. Welcome to the rest of your life, Declan.
