While it's certainly not unheard of for popular artists to re-record their music in multiple languages to appeal to various fanbases, it's a little bit stranger for them to re-record a song in a made-up video game language.
Yet here we are.
The Sims 4 soundtrack will feature Carly Rae Jepsen's hit "Run Away With Me" in their made-up language of Simlish. You can listen to the whole thing in the video. Now, this isn't actually the first time this has been done. Other artists, including Katy Perry, have recorded Simlish songs for the popular video game franchise's soundtrack in the past. But it's still an amusing and strange gimmick.
And I really hope karaoke bars embrace this new version.
