Thousands have signed a petition to prevent Kanye West from creating his tribute album to the late David Bowie.
Fans everywhere were stunned by the sudden loss of one of the greatest musicians to grace the stage, and are offended at the idea of the egocentric West creating an album utilizing Bowie’s music.

The petition states “David Bowie was one of the single most important musicians of the 20th and 21st century, it would be a sacrilege to let it be ruined by Kanye West.”
As of the writing of this article, it’s reached 4,469 signatures with hopes it reaches someone who can stop West from creating his album.
As someone pointed out, West still needs to procure the proper permissions from the Bowie estate before he can create his “tribute” to the late artist, and it’s hoped the petition will reach the ears of those in charge of granting those permissions, and West’s request is met with a resounding “HELL NO.”
