  • For the first time in what feels like years, Donald Trump was not the subject of Saturday Night Live’s cold open. Instead, we got a cozy chat with Kate McKinnon’s stellar Hillary Clinton. The sketch comes in the wake of a 7-state losing streak for Clinton, but the former First Lady, New York Senator, and Secretary of State was unwavering in her determination. The subject of her enthusiasm this week? NEW YORK.

New York sports, New York hot dogs, New York theater, New York transportation. McKinnon deftly parodied the politician’s out of touch image by scarfing down street food and showing her support for the “New York Meats.” The highlight of the sketch featured McKinnon jumping over a subway turnstile – a callback to Hillary’s MetroCard malfunction earlier in the campaign.

What do you think of Kate’s take on Hillary? How does she stack up to Amy Poehler? Let us know in the comments.
