Jonah Hill Is the Most Half-Assed Celebrity Pitchman Ever

What’s funnier than someone trying too hard? Someone not trying at all. This time it’s actor/writer/producer/torture victim Jonah Hill who shows us just how half-assed celebrity sponsors can really be.

In this ad for Palace Skateboards and Reebok (or Ree-boke, as Hill calls it), Jonah Hill stands in front of a green screen somewhere half-heartedly reading lines about how how much he loves skateboarding, a sport he clearly couldn’t give less of a sh*t about. Then, with the magic of video editing, he appears inside of Palace’s “sunny London” store. (Though he’s still clearly tinted green from poor chroma-keying.)

Still not sure you should check out the ad? Here are some key quotes:

“Hello skateboard friend.”

“Let’s hang out and do some heel flips later.”

“Wax my grap tape and whatever other truck stuff I need.”

Now that’s quality comedy. Maybe he deserves those Oscar nominations after all.
