  • Tom Hanks was brilliant on Saturday Night Live. Hosting alongside Lady Gaga, Hanks participated in yet another Presidential debate spoof, and impressed host Darnell Hayes (Kenan Thompson) on a segment of “Black Jeopardy.”

In the sketch, Tom Hanks plays the only white contestant, Doug, who is rather appropriately dressed in a “Make America Great Again” cap. Host Darnell jokes whether or not Doug is on the right show, to which he replies – “they told me a fella could win some money, so let’s get ‘er done.”

Still skeptical, Darnell introduces the categories of the game show – like Big Girls, Mm… I Don’t Know, You Better, White People – and Doug, surprisingly, turns out to be a great contestant. Here are some of our favorite responses from Doug (Tom Hanks).

  • Darnell: They out here saying the new iPhone wants your thumbprint “for your protection.”

Doug: I don’t think so. That’s how they get ya. I read that goes straight to the government.

Darnell: Well, damn… Not bad, Doug!

  • Doug: Big Girls for $200.

Darnell: Skinny women can do this for you. Doug!

Doug: What is not a god damn thing?

    Darnell: You damn right!

  • As the show went on, the host and contestants fell in love with Doug thanks to his swift responses. All good things must come to an end, however.

  • Darnell: Let’s take a look at our final jeopardy category – Lives That Matter.

    Doug: *stands in silence*

Darnell: Well, it was good while it lasted, Doug!
