  • Drake‘s Degrassi days may be over, but the rapper is still cashin’ in on his days as Jimmy Brooks.

The rapper recently took to his Instagram to give fans a glimpse of the royalties he receives, and well… he’s clearly making the big bucks! “Degrassi money still coming in,” he captioned the photo. “Don’t sleeeeeeeep…”

  • Prior to pursuing a much more successful career in the music industry, Drake starred in “Degrassi: The Next Generation” from 2001 to 2005. Amid all of his recent success, Drake has not forgotten about his on-screen roots. In 2015, he reunited with the cast of “Degrassi,” and expressed his desire to get back into the acting.

It’s cute that Drake wants to get back to his roots, but hip-hop is clearly where the money is at. Billboard recently named Drake No. 4 on its “Top 50 Money Makers of 2016” list, with Drake having earned $37.3 million counting sales, streaming, touring, etc.

The rapper’s post was all in good fun, and now has fans wondering how nice it would be to have a constant money flow (even if it is only $8.25).
