  • There is no right way to apologize for a chicken shortage — this is an issue that impacts any and all in every walk of life. Imagine being in England, and wanting that pure English experience of eating some Kentucky Fried Chicken only to find out — the place is out of chicken! Now, because its fun to write headlines such as “KFC out of damned chicken”, the issue got quite a bit of press — and KFC decided to respond with a message titled, “FCK.” Get it? It’s the KFC letters, but almost a swear!

Anyway, the message goes on to apologize, saying —

A chicken restaurant without any chicken. It’s not ideal. Huge apologies to our customers, especially those who traveled out of their way to find we were closed. And endless thanks to our KFC team members and our franchise partners for working tirelessly to improve the situation. It’s been a hell of a week, but we’re making progress, and every day more and more fresh chicken is being delivered to our restaurants. Thank you for bearing with us.

Using a chicken screw up to sell more chicken AND trying to say the F-word? Ooh. That’s some Don Draper stuff. What do you think of KFC’s weird apology? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
