  • Brock Turner, the Stanford rapist who was sentenced to only 6 months in jail, is one of the most hated people in America. Even Joe Biden hates him. So a bunch of punk rock ladies from all around the world recorded a mixtape about him, which they’re using to raise money for charity. Take that, rape culture!

According to Nadia G, one of the badasses behind the project, “bands from all over the world have submitted original tracks for the cause. From the Netherlands, to Montreal, to NYC and LA — Riot Grrrls are coming together to immortalize these sad excuses for ‘men’ in the hall of shame, and ultimately heal together through art.”

The mixtape, named “Severe Impact” after sentencing judge Aaron Persky’s declaration that giving Turner a longer sentence would have a “severe impact” on him, will donate all proceeds to RAINN, the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network. Check out the mixtape on Tumblr here, and donate to RAINN here.

The entire mixtape is available on Soundcloud for free streaming. Here’s a link.

Finally, another one of the “Severe Impact” campaign’s goals is to remove the California judge, Aaron Persky, who gave Turner such a lenient sentence. Here’s a link to the petition to remove him from his post.
