  • The Met, in order to get some new faces to view its priceless works of brilliant art, got Ninja Turtle Michelangelo to witness the art of his namesake — masterful Renassaince artist, Michelangelo. It’s sweet, adorable, and the Internet has been adoring the sight of a massive clunky costume with a big old smiling face standing right next to some of history’s greatest works of art.

Now, this brings us to the complex question of — what is art and what isn’t. For, at this point, the Ninja Turtles are a classic comic book and animation character whose simple faces captivate the world, and their love for pizza is no less important than Michelangelo’s love of the male form when he created his deathless masterpiece, “David”. So, I ask you — are not the Ninja Turtles including Michelangelo, Donatello, the red one, and whichever one is fourth — not also worthy of being respected at The Met? I see nothing ironic about this photo! Merely art adoring art. Out of my way you worthless philistine! We have a big turtle appreciating art man walking on through.

What do you think of a Ninja Turtle being allowed in a museum where our children enjoy art, I tell you! Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
