Jacqueline Bisset’s Painfully Awkward Speech And The Best Moments of The 2014 Golden Globe Awards

  • On Sunday night, NBC aired the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. While opening the show for their second year in a row, the comedy duo followed awards show tradition by taking jabs at some of the biggest names in the room, from Meryl Streep to Matt Damon.

The joke that got everyone riled up? Tina Fey describing George Clooney’s role in “Gravity” with Sandra Bullock: “George Clooney would rather float away in space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age.” Burn.

And while it’s tough to upstage the force of Tinamy, Jacqueline Bisset managed to do just that rather early on in the broadcast by stopping the show and shocking the Internet with what can only be one of the most awkward speeches (and painfully slow walks to the stage) that has ever existed. She even dropped an s-bomb that slipped past NBC’s censors. Whoops!

  • Then, of course, there was Emma Thompson boozing it up without giving a damn while presenting. Throw those shoes away, lady. Who needs those at a black tie event on national television anyway?

  • But perhaps one of the best moments of the night happened on E!’s red carpet when Jennifer Lawrence crashed Taylor Swift’s interview with Ryan Seacrest. She’s coming for you…

Hey, can we get a clearer shot of that? Oh, thanks.
