  • With only one rehearsal under their belt, 135 volunteer participants joined Improv Everywhere to stage a surprise performance in the windows of Grand Central Terminal.

On the eve of the New York City landmark’s 100th birthday, commuters and tourists were treated to an a spontaneous light show from the LED flashlights and camera flashes coming from the catwalks of the grand building.

Planned in partnership with MTA’s Arts for Transit, the viral stunt came exactly six years after Improv Everywhere staged their most popular mission of all time – Frozen Grand Central – which now sports 32 million YouTube views. This big feat is also compared to the group’s previous Look Up More mission and Mp3 Experiment Eight event.
