Countless hands-on product reviews and keynote recaps are popping up all over YouTube since Apple formally unveiled its new iPhone 5 yesterday in San Francisco.
But let's get to the facts. The above video, featured on Apple.com, breaks down the revolutionary specs of Apple's newest smartphone, the successor to last year's iPhone 4S.
According to Apple's press release, the iPhone 5 is the thinnest and lightest iPhone ever, featuring an all-new aluminum design, crisp 4-inch retina display, and ultrafast wireless technology. The taller but not wider screen allows for users to type with just one hand.
iPhone 5's unprecedented iOS 6 mobile operating system comes with over 200 new features, including a new Maps app, Facebook integration, and more Siri! (But perhaps not more Zooey Deschanel commercials.) The new product will also have a redesigned 8 megapixel iSight camera with a panorama feature and new FaceTime HD front facing camera (for clearer selfies).
The latest object of the tech world's affection can be purchased in either white & silver or black & slate, with the 16GB ($199), 32GB ($299), or 64GB ($399) model. Residents of the US and six other countries can pick up their iPhones on September 21, with a worldwide release set for September 28. Pre-orders will be accepted beginning Friday, September 14.
