In a very meta video short on the NBC YouTube channel, the cast of cult-hit sitcom "Community" attempt to explain why the major network decided to air their season premiere on October 19, and then suddenly decided not to air their season premiere on October 19.
This isn't the first shaft that NBC has given to the Thursday night comedy show, as the network fired showrunner Dan Harmon at the end of last season and announced that while "Community" would return for a fourth season, the run would be only 13 episodes long.
At least NBC let the writers and cast say their part via YouTube. If only the rights could be independently purchased, the show could probably be better lived online. For now, it struggles to stay above water despite sharp writing and critical claim.
