  • Sooner or later, everyone gets challenged. But, if you’re Matt Damon, and your main philanthropic activity is bringing clean water to the 800 million people in the developing world who don’t have access to it, dumping a clean bucket of water on your head seems a bit crass.

So, he came up with a good solution. Fill up a bucket with ice and toilet water — of course, this is toilet water in the western world, so it’s still a heck of a lot cleaner than the water in places like Bangladesh, Haiti and Uganda.

You know the drill. Go to ALSA.org to donate to the fight against ALS, and Water.org to help bring clean water to the developing world.
