This Is The Best Star-Spangled Banner We've Ever Heard

Performed before Monday Night Football on November 3.

  • At last night's Monday Night Football matchup at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey between the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Giants, trumpeter Chris Botti performed what may have been the most beautiful rendition of our national anthem we've ever heard.

We've talked lately about botched Star-Spangled Banners, but Botti's version shows how perfect and affecting it can be when done simply, and without lyrics.

Colts receiver Reggie Wayne was even caught by cameras with tears running down his face. Wayne had four catches for 70 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' win.
