  • SURE Walk is an organization by the University of Texas that gets students home safe at night. They got a surprise visit this week, as Matthew McConaughey, a UT alum, volunteered. He drove around the campus a golf cart, delivering students unto their dormitories. Which is pretty alright alright alright (among other weird noises).

The official University of Texas Student Government Facebook page had this to say about the event:

“Just in case you couldn’t get enough of campus safety, SURE Walk, and that one awesome alumnus who came in to visit us last night, here is a short clip of Matthew McConaughey, reminding students of the importance of staying safe on our campus.”

The UT Student Government is the organization that put together and manages SURE Walk. It’s another reminder that all governments can do something positive, even the small ones. Anybody can make their community brighter, and McConaughey also proved that. He’s a pretty alright dude, as his strange, charity-focused YouTube channel can attest to.
