  • At Manchester Cathedral, a service took place at 14:00 pm (BST) to remember the victims of this sickening attack that has destroyed the lives of many. The service was broadcasted on a big screen in Cathedral Gardens, Manchester, at Glasgow Cathedral and in Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral for the public to watch, with Prince William and Prime Minister of the UK, Theresa May, joining the families at the service to support the victims’ families.

A few weeks after the attack, Grande decided that she wanted to put on a concert in Manchester, in order to benefit the families whose lives were affected, which raised over £12 million. Over 50,000 people turned out, and stars such as Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus performed with Ariana Grande ending the concert with a performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, which was also performed by Halle Youth Choir at the service that took place in Manchester today.

Reverend Rogers Govender, said the service will “remember those whose lives were lost, and those whose lives have been changed forever.” There was also a minute of silence at 14:30 pm (BST), followed by a sing-along across the city.

Grande, who recently did an interview with TIME magazine, stated that her new song, “No Tears Left to Cry”, conveyed elements of how she felt after the attack. In the video, everything is upside down, which expresses how her life used to feel, and as the video begins to turn around, she said that it shows how she feels now, “like I’m finally landing back on my feet.” The bee, which is the symbol of Manchester, is also shown in the final frame of the video, flying away.

Ariana Grande ended her interview with TIME, by saying: “when you’re handed a challenge, instead of sitting there and complaining about it, why not try to make it something beautiful?”
