‘Knight of Cups’ Trailer Gives You Just A Taste

It’s the first trailer for Terrence Malick’s highly anticipated Knight of Cups, which means impressive visuals and lots of voiceover. If you were hoping for insight into the plot, though, you’ve come to the wrong place. Here’s what IMDb says:

“Once there was a young prince whose father, the king of the East, sent him down into Egypt to find a pearl. But when the prince arrived, the people poured him a cup. Drinking it, he forgot he was the son of a king, forgot about the pearl and fell into a deep sleep.”

That’s right. This is some hefty internal struggle here, which is just what I want from Malick. All of you Tree of Life haters can go suck a sweet potato. That’s what I say to that.
