  • Jump out of planes. Jump out of buildings. Jump off waterfalls. There’s a lot of jumping in the new trailer for Point Break. This remake of Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 action classic obviously wants to stay true to the extreme athlete roots of the original. Instead of Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, we get Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez as Johnny Utah and Bodhi. No sign of Gary Busey, but there sure is lots of jumping.

The 1991 original was a cult classic with some so-bad-it’s-good dialogue and a killer performance from Swayze. Will this remake stay true to the classic? We’re not sure. But the movie does want us to know it will be action packed, as the description offers: “The film is replete with the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture. These action adventure feats are performed by elite athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.”
