I guess the War on Terror is as good as over. Rambo is going to Syria to fight ISIS.
Except no he’s not because it’s all a hoax, and now I’ve wasted all my snarky Rambo jokes for nothing.
Earlier today, it was reported that Sylvester Stallone announced at Comic-Con that in his latest Rambo film “Last Blood,” our favorite greasy war hero would be taking on the terrorists in Syria.
“We have teams scouting Iraq and parts of Syria where Isis have their greatest strongholds,” Sly supposedly said. “We’re working with the locals there to help deliver the most intense and realistic Rambo movie experience ever.”
But now Stallone’s rep is saying that report is a hoax. “Sylvester Stallone did not attend Comic-Con 2015, and consequently there was no official remark from him regarding Rambo made there at the event,” the rep says. “This is not an accurate report.”
That’s fortunate, since there is that awkward business with “Rambo 3” where Rambo was in Afghanistan fighting the Russians and the movie was dedicated to the “brave Mujahideen” and then they had to change it when the Mujahideen turned out to be assholes.
