  • As a Christmas treat to their fans, Radiohead tweeted out a soundcloud link to a new song they hadn’t previously released. The real kicker? It’s an unused theme song for the 2015 James Bond film, Spectre.

Ultimately, the honor of creating the music for the opening credits of the film went to Sam Smith, meaning the producers and director passed on what Radiohead came up with. This is in no way unheard of in entertainment, and Thom Yorke seemed pretty good-natured about it when he released the track for consumption anyway. And of course, it was immediately paired with the visual credits by a fan on YouTube, so we could all see what we may have been missing.

For those who have actually seen Spectre, what do you think set a better tone for the film? The Sam Smith version or the Radiohead version?
