Empire Strikes Back Receives Modernized Trailer

In what is likely an attempt to catch the uptick in people searching for Star Wars-related content online and on YouTube thanks to the smashing success of The Force Awakens, a fan has created a “modernized” version of a trailer to The Empire Strikes Back. While the trailer is comprised of footage from the film itself, there’s a clear nod to way The Force Awakens was marketed, as well as just to how trailers are done differently these days than they used to be: more film highlights, haunting music, spoilery clips. That having been said, this trailer is still a remarkably accurate promotional piece for Episode VI, which is more than we can say for many trailers and their respective films anymore. Though it’s really comparing apples and oranges to pit trailers from the 1980s against modern trailers, I still think this updated version is far more rad than the original. What do you think?
