Sweetie, darling, the trailer for the Absolutely Fabulous movie we've been waiting for forever is finally here!
If you're not familiar with the brilliant British sitcom that produced six seasons in two decades (basically what all our canceled shows from the '90s are now suddenly trying to do), it follows the lives of BFFs Eddy and Patsy, who want nothing more than to be hip despite their age, and Eddy's daughter Saffron, who is the sensible, exact opposite of her mother. The entire series is available on Hulu if you want to catch up, which you should.
Eddy and Patsy are famous for being drunk and tweaking on something or another at any given time, desperate to rub elbows with the stars, and always causing impressive amounts of trouble for themselves and others at every turn. The movie suggests the same elements are all in play yet again, with the duo accidentally killing Kate Moss and fleeing to France to escape the "trolleying" they're receiving on Twitter. A ton of familiar faces pop up in the trailer, both famous Hollywood actors as well as British stars who made cameos throughout the series (aka Emma Bunton, aka Baby Spice). Movie follow ups to TV shows are always hit and miss, but the trailer gives us high hopes for the Ab Fab film being just as good as the series always managed to be. And we only have to wait three more months to find out.
