  • Last year, Netflix brought us Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, a prequel series to the cult comedy film Wet Hot American Summer. The series starred the majority of the original cast just pretending to be their younger selves, which is honestly a wonderful staple of comedy tropes.

And now, we’re crossing our fingers that that same cast will reprise their roles once again now that Netflix has announced a sequel series to the film, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later. The premise is based on a promise the characters made at the end of the original film, that they would meet up again in ten years. Sure, it’s been more than ten years in the real world, but we can certainly pretend. Either way, Netflix constantly resurrecting old properties that we loved and letting them continue on yet again is a practice that hasn’t let us down yet, and hopefully won’t this time either. And yes, we’re just pretending that last season of Arrested Development never existed. Man, that was a great three season show. So prematurely canceled, never to return to our screens, but always in our hearts…
