Star Wars Gets Retold Via Emojis

In preparation for Star Wars Day, May the 4th (be with you), Disney has released a short animated video retelling The Force Awakens using only (what they consider) emojis. Of course, the actual emojis our phones stick us with aren’t quite this cool or detailed, but considering our heroes are literally hopping between text message bubbles to escape Kylo Ren, sure, we’ll call them emojis. The whole thing is a fairly random choice on Disney’s part, but a cute and fairly clever one you’ll enjoy if you like consuming Star Wars in every medium and form possible. Either way, it will definitely make you wish that you actually had a BB-8 emoji to send to your friends.
